finals
I really want to say fuck it and just turn in this paper. I have no desire to write my 8-10 pages of appendices. WHY MUST I HAVE THEM IF I DON’T REFERENCE THEM?! Seriously, this has got to be one of the most frustrating professors to write for on campus.

Why Mumford & Sons' Winston Marshall is going to...
GQ: Why the word "tour" [as a tattoo]?
Winston Marshall: Um, because I love tour.
GQ: Not "touring"? Not even "tour!" with an exhortatory or celebratory exclamation mark? Could you only afford the four letters?
WM: Yeah, at the time... [He grins.] I'll add the 'ing' now. I know it's not very imaginative.
GQ: While we're at it, why the nickname "Country"?
WM: I'm not up for it any more; I'm going to change it. It was from an old band where we had pseudonyms. I kept it because I thought it was fun. There was Hillbilly Harry, Duvet Crocket, Kid Fiddler... The problem is, at the time, for me, country music meant bluegrass. Now I've spent time in America I've realised I don't actually like country music.
^^ This reinforces the point I always have to make to people: country music does not equal bluegrass music. They are insanely different, and bluegrass is insanely better.

– Plastic In The Great Lakes - The Great Lakes Are Screwed - Esquire (via dendroica) Though, there is a bit of very good news for the Great Lakes. After years of battling environmental groups, a large ship called the S.S. Badger will no longer dump coal ash into Lake Michigan. Coal ash is the...

– WE NEED TO ACT. Today I had an amazing meeting with an environmental activist with a passion for empowerment, and I feel so recharged in this fight for humanity to wake up and start caring about PEOPLE again instead of things.  Doom read of the day: “Superheated American City Dealing with 110...
